Halo - React Incident Assessment Tool

React-based risk assessment plugin for WordPress

This was a fun little project turning a dense, multi-page risk assessment spreadsheet into a user-friendly, interactive web app. The tool walks users through a series of multiple-choice questions to assess their incident readiness, then calculates weighted risk scores and displays the results as visual charts (built with Recharts) alongside tailored recommendations.

It’s all powered by React, running inside a custom WordPress plugin. Questions, weights, and scoring logic are fully editable via JSON files, making it easy to adapt for different event types or assessment models.

Results are summarised visually and sent to HubSpot via API, along with contact details collected through a built-in CTA form.

The biggest challenge was mapping and translating the client’s huge Excel model into structured JSON and reusable components 😅, but the end result feels fast, visual, and much easier to use.
